Sunsets anywhere in Michigan can make a drab place look a peace. I think it is because we are looking up and not looking at our surroundings that makes us think "yeah life is not so mad." Even when it has been Gray all day, some how at sunset the sun peeks at the horizons and shows us the beauty of its self before saying good night.

remember to always look up, you will be surprised what you will see in the MI Skys.

A friend of mine forwarded this to me. We live in Wisconsin (my husband and I ) and make the 9 hour trip to Tawas every summer for vacation with our 4 kids. (My extended family has been making the trip for over 40 years.) We look forward to our trip every year.

This last summer we had my family (6), my younger sister and her family (7), my youngest sister and her hubby, and my mom and stepdad totalling 17 people. Friends of mine are in awe of pictures we take. There just is no place else like Tawas. If you ever need any photos let me know. We take plenty.

My family spent many summers up at Tawas State Park. It has it all! We used to take our boat, keep it at the marina and take it out perch fishing. Also really enjoyed the beach on the bay side--it was always warm and enjoyable. My girls learned a lot about nature when we took hikes on the nature trails. It's a great place for bird watching! Thanks for the memories! You and your kids will look back on these days with fondness.
