A Sneak Peek at the newest Pure Michigan Radio Ad

We’ve got a new radio ad, and we wanted you to be the first to hear it. This Pure Michigan “Great Waters” ad won’t hit the airwaves until next week – but you can listen to it right now.

Pictured Rocks The Great Waters are made up of 9 distinct, beautiful towns in the eastern Upper Peninsula: St. Ignace, Les Cheneaux, Manistique, Newberry, Paradise, Munising, Sault Ste. Marie, Curtis, and the Ports of Mackinac. There are 3 trails to explore that take you through breathtaking forests, rugged shorelines, and amazing waterfalls.

Good to have a commercial but what about Escanaba and Marquette? Let’s head west like Louis and Clark folks! Escanaba has one of the most beautiful shorelines in all of Michigan! The Bays de Noc waters are warm all summer long unlike our neighbors to the south in TC, Petosky, Charlevoix.
Kayak our rivers and the bays, did i mention the 6 fishing tournaments each year! Let’s explore the whole U.P. and not just a few counties off the expressway.

I love it, just like all of the Pure Michigan ads. Wonderful job and I’m glad there is one dedicated to the U.P. Folks that never travel north of the Mackinac Bridge are truly missing out on some of the most beautiful country around.

Took me a minute to recognize the voice, however it all clicked. The mitten is a wonderful place to live and visit. We are seeing regions that we never visited in the past. Thanks Michigan for being my home.

This is a great ad I love Tims voice, all the ads give me goose bumps and take me back to yesteryear I would love to see all the ads put on DVD and or CD for purchase I would be one of the first to buy it. I would like to see the ad campaign expanded to include print (I.E. camping and or travel magazines)

Judi I’m sorry you feel the way you do about the ads I think its a great hing to promote our state in a positive way instead of just a garbage dump of refuge for prisoners from other states and or other countries, heaven knows the tourism industry sure can use the boost.

Just BECAUSE of the Pure Michigan advertising campaign, I visited Michigan. My friends were inquiring about why in the world would I want to go to Michigan for a vacation. In the Mid-Atlantic, we go to the east coast. I loved Ludington and Traverse City when I was there the first week of August. These ads have a great impact and are hypnotizing. Keep spending your money on the ads. They will bring the people to Michigan who never thought about coming!

I agree, Phil, about putting all the Tim Allen ads on a CD or DVD. I listened to the one he did on the car ferry from Ludington. Pretty cool! There is nothing like Michigan in all the world, right smack in the middle of the beautiful Great Lakes. I live in Missouri now, and sure do miss the snow squalls, the fall colors and summer sunsets.

i live in london, ontario…and although i haven’t heard the ad, this is the area i plan on visiting in october…i am so looking forward to seeing the beauty of the lake superior coastline from whitefish point to munising. i have seen numerous photos over the years and want very much to see it for myself. from the shipwreck museum, the lighthouses, the waterfalls and pictured rock state park, i want it all!

your ad,s are better then the ad,s here in Washington State if there were a way me and my family move back there to Michigan I was born and live 15 years it was a mistake me and my mother move away from some day I will be back.keep going on on Pure Michigan

I am glad to hear MI would like to be the tourism capital of the world, however, I think the major priority should be to focus on being a competitive market for businesses to operate in.

The fact that I am went to college in MI, but was forced to take a job in another state does not make sense. Now, alike many other Michiganders, I am forced to be a tourist of MI.

Bob, every state devotes tax money to tourism, get updated with the current day and the real world. No “socialism” is involved, unless one is delusional and believes every tax-funded activity is insidious. (Your basement must be a comfortable place to hide from the imaginary evil Socialists, harhar). They have medications to address your hallucinations. I am grateful and happy to know the state cares about itself to the degree that efforts like the one publicized here are in gear, and I know they are working. My hometown has already seen real and immediate financial benefits from the pro-filmmaking campaign.
